| JR'S BBQ ; CAUGHT UP WITH EDGE AT SUMMERSLAM |

The Following is from Jim Ross' Blog :
It was good seeing Edge, albeit on crutches, backstage at Summerslam. The Rated R Superstar was in great spirits and is looking forward to his return to the ring sometime in 2010. There is no definitive date as to when Edge will be returning to the ring and hopefully he won't rush it. Achilles tendon injuries usually heal in 6-9 months.

| JR'S BBQ ; Another Edge Update |

The following is from JRsBarBQ.com
"Got a text message from Edge who recently received an order of his favorite, J.R.'s Chipolte Ketchup, on which I think that he is 'hooked.' Edge said that he planned to start his rehab this week on his surgically repaired Achilles tendon. Usually it is approximately a 6 month healing process for these types of injuries but that is not definitive. Mother Nature always has a say in how fast one's body heals. I hope Edge is back in time for WM26 in Arizona. Time will tell as no one can absolutely say one way or another at this time when Edge will be cleared to go 100% and there is no sense in coming back to the ring until then."
Get well soon Edge!

| Night of Champions ; An update of sorts |
| At Night of Champions, Chris Jericho along with his opponents, Legacy, kicked off the show, but Jericho began to speak, and aired a video of the Rated R Superstar, Edge, talking about his torn Achilles Tendon which he suffered a few weeks ago. Edge spoke about being sidelined, and they recapped the segment from SmackDown a few weeks ago. Edge will most likely be out from a year, but RatedRAdamCopeland.com wishes the Rated R Superstar a speedy recovery.

| Friday Night SmackDown 07-17-09 ; Canadian Confrontation |

It was no secret that the Rated R Superstar Edge was recovering from a torn Achilles Tendon that he had suffered a few weeks ago, and had just received surgery on, but the Edge would make an appearance on Friday Night SmackDown, via satellite to give us an update on his condition and when, or if he’d even be back to the ring. Edge was in the middle of explaining that what he had suffered could be considered a career threatening injury, but he planned to do all he could to return, and that would be interrupted by the holder of the Unified Tag Team Championships, Chris Jericho.
Edge received quite an ovation by the capacity crowd, and Chris Jericho exposed the fact that he had chosen a weak partner in Edge. Edge vowed that he would be back, and when he would return, Chris Jericho would be personally proven wrong by the Rated R Superstar. Chris Jericho now holding both of the Unified Tag Team Championships tried it all to get Edge to crack, but he is going to use what Jericho has said as motivation to make it back to the ring. Chris Jericho could be in for it when Edge makes his return.

| JR'S BBQ ; J.R. Gives an Update on Edge's Injury |
I talked to Edge mere minutes after his Achilles tendon surgery last week and he had a more positive attitude about returning to the ring than most would. Edge has been faced with many challenges over his career and if any one can return and be as good as they were before they were hurt then it will be him. However, we should all be realistic about this situation as Achilles tendon injuries can be devastating for an athlete that maintains a schedule like Edge. My money is on Edge to return ready to rock, be more popular than ever and perhaps even possibly having a one on one match with Chris Jericho at WM26 which could be a show stealer. Yes, that's all speculation but a guy can dream, can't he?

| Friday Night SmackDown 07-10-09 |

On Friday Night SmackDown, Chris Jericho was invoking his rematch clause to face off against Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship... A match where he came out on the losing end, but Edge wouldn't let his partners loss slide, by attacking Rey Mysterio after the match and taking him out with a double team maneuver which resulted in a Codebreaker. Now of course, this edition was taped before Edge's injury hence why he made an appearance. This would be Edge's before-last on-screen appearance due to his Achilles Tendon injury.

WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Edge suffered a tear to his Achilles tendon last Friday, July 3, during a WWE live event in San Diego with Jeff Hardy.
The champion underwent surgery Tuesday morning for the torn Achilles tendon in his left ankle.
The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.
Dr. Andrews has previously performed surgeries on WWE Superstars Batista, Triple H, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and many others. Andrews also consulted on NFL quarterback Tom Brady after his third knee surgery and most recently worked with Brett Favre for his possible return to the NFL.
Almost immediately after the bout started, Edge was in his corner when Hardy charged toward him. After attempting to leapfrog Hardy, Edge crumbled to the canvas. Hardy was backed off by the referee, who checked repeatedly with Edge before summoning WWE doctors and athletic trainers and instructing ring announcer Justin Roberts that because Edge could not continue, Jeff Hardy was the winner of the match via forfeit. WWE referees, athletic trainers and doctors then helped Edge to the back as he could bear no weight on his left ankle.
WWE.com will attempt to have comments from both Dr. Andrews and Edge, including a timeline for Edge's return to the ring.
WWE.com will also investigate how this injury will affect the status of the Unified Tag Team Titles, as well as Edge & Chris Jericho's scheduled match with Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase at Night of Champions.

| BACKSTAGE NEWS ; Edge's Injury Update |
| In an update on the story we broke first exclusively here on WrestleZone.com last night, we can now confirm the injury to Edge at the WWE house show. He injured it about five minutes into the match and at this point the injury is believed to be a torn Achilles tendon.
As we noted in our initial report, Edge did get on the microphone and apologize to the fans for having to cut the match short. The spot the injury occured wasn't even really a spot. Edge just planted his foot wrong and went down with his leg at a bad angle.
That is actually quite a serious injury and will likely require surgery and a long period of down time for Edge. According to one source, the plan is to try and get the Unified tag-team titles, which Edge currently holds with Chris Jericho, onto the team of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase - Legacy.
Right now company officials are scanning footage of the Edge vs. Great Khali match taped on Wednesday night for next week's SmackDown! TV show trying to find a spot where they can claim on TV for storylines that Edge was injured.
